Our final CFA interview

in the atrium at corporate CFA

July 27th was a big day for Brian and our family… on this day we flew to Atlanta for a final interview with Chick-fil-A (CFA). Brian entered the Interim Manager (IM) Program 9 months ago with hopes of owning his own store. (here’s a blog post I made at the very beginning of the IM journey!)

There is no guarantee this will happen, or where it might happen. However, since Atlanta is the home the CFA and it’s pretty saturated with top notch candidates, we figured it probably wouldn’t be in the southeast. So, when Brian was approach about a store in Atlanta, we were pretty surprised. We never expected we would end up right where we started! We have SO much to be thankful for. The Lord has answered our prayers in ways we didn’t even know to ask for.

ringing the cowbell to announce that we accepted the offer for the Terminus CFA!

After flying in the day before, we took a quick tour of store in Buckhead at the corner of Peachtree and Piedmont and were impressed at the urban and sleek-looking inside. The next day was full of interviews, which added to the many Brian had already been apart of. I felt privileged that CFA wants interview the spouse at the final interview and include them in the process. Plus, I was glad to be there the moment they gave Brian the official offer for the store. At which point he accepted!

All the early mornings (waking up at 3:50 am) and hours spent breading chicken were finally paying off — Brian would soon receive the title of Operator. Much hard work is still left once we officially take over the store on October 1st, but we’re ready to enter this new chapter.
