Olan Mills portraits (then & now)

Awkward poses. saggy tights. droopy hair curls. matching outfits. crowded waiting rooms with screaming kids.

This can only mean one thing — it’s time for pictures at Olan Mills. At least this is the memory I have of going with my sisters when we were younger. I probably swore I’d never make my kids go through this. But, now a parent myself, I’ve already subjected my child to the same “torture.” ha!

And actually, it wasn’t very painful this time around. (Vera, if you are reading this some day, I hope you’d agree!) We had no waiting and only one outfit change.  Here’s the link to her photo shoot. It’s hard to believe she’s already 10.5 months old… year one will be over before we know it!

You are hilarious. This post made me laugh out loud. I remember the torture of family picture day. Why did I have to have hairspray in my hair and where blush on my cheeks and casually lay a hand on one of my sisters like thats how we really posed?…thats not what I looked like on a day to day basis…why on picture day??

Ok…gonna go check out the link to Vera’s pics now. 🙂
