Our apartment complex has a lovely 1 mile loop that starts up the mountain. We made a list of a few activities in Huntsville we wanted to experience, and this was one of them.
With the leaves changing it was beautiful. Brian wore Vera in the okkatot, and she loved it… giggling most of time!
[side note: I love it when dad's wear their babies -- especially seeing Brian wear Vera. And according to Dr. Harvey Karp, author of The Happiest Baby on the Block (Bantam, 2002), the vibration from a father’s Adams apple can help calm a baby. Who knew?]
During the walk I collected a handful of leaves for a little craft project. I followed the directions here, and made a lovely bouquet. I love fall crafts and baking.
Baking? yes, baking. Our new favorite pumpkin recipe is Chai-Iced Pumpkin Cookies. We’ve been enjoying these along with loaded chili and jalapeño corn bread muffins.

Ah, Bethany, I can’t believe you posted that cookie recipe because I’ll have to make (and eat) those now. I can’t resist pumpkin or chai! Enjoying reading about your life and the exciting journey God has you on.
